Dr. Jiaying Ren was raised in Chongqing, China before moving to Illinois. She is a third-generation dentist in her family. Dr. Ren attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition. She then completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University-Illinois, where she met her husband Dr. Christopher Probst.
Dr. Ren was once very conscious about her own teeth. She had received traditional braces and Invisalign treatment to obtain the ideal smile. Because of the transformation through orthodontic treatment, she has focused her training intensively on esthetic dentistry and Invisalign. Dr. Ren believes that everyone deserves to be confident in their smile.
Dr. Ren is currently working on obtaining Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), which requires 500 hours of continuing education in all aspects of general dentistry, as well as passing an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.
When Dr. Ren is not at the office, she likes to cook, try different restaurants, read, and spend time with Dr. Probst and their French bulldog, @Little_Mr_Wrigley (you can find him on Instagram).
